Ripening unity in the community as we “grow” together

The Grace Place Community Garden is a place to meet neighbors and a learning environment for families. A few of the benefits from helping maintain the Community Garden:

  • Learn from experience how to your own garden at home with nutritious vegetables
  • Eat your vegetables fresh and can or freeze for an inexpensive additive to future meals
  • Learn the process of getting food to your table
  • Teach responsibility by taking care of the plants
  • Foster unity in your family as you work together to keep your garden healthy and enjoy pride in the results

Harvested vegetables from the Community Garden go directly to the Grace Place Food Pantry. Our goal is to ensure that families who visit the food pantry are not limited to boxes and cans, but instead can still receive fresh, nutritional, vegetables for meals.
